Eat More, Weigh Less?

"I HAVE TO LOSE THIS WEIGHT!!" 

"I've been working out a lot and eating healthy but I'm still struggling to lose weight..."

First, how long have you been working out 'a lot' and eating healthy? 
Second, what does "eating healthy" mean for you?
Lastly, working out a lot? What does that mean?  30 mins 6 x a week, or like an hour of cardio followed by an hour of HIIT or weights....6 x a week?  

The later?  working out waaaaaayyyy too much unless you're strategically training for the Olympics or a Bikini Comp.  
GIRL, please stop. 

You're not only overdoing it, you are (could be) doing detrimental things to your health. I know because it happened to me and I do not wish any of the consequences on anyone else. 

I restricted calories & restricted myself from eating other nutrient dense foods. 
I became obsessed with working out because that's what you did to lose weight.

Over indulge Super Bowl weekend? 
Feeling guilty for the sweet treats you consumed this weekend? 
Perhaps you made a commitment to go the whole month of January with no booze & no sugars?  And you were so happy you stuck to the commitment that you celebrated HARD this past weekend? 
Totally get it. Same. 

Instead of going on a 10 day juice cleanse, starving & being a hangry monster, I simply "crowd out" the toxins (bad foods/beverages/moral decisions) with real wholesome foods that not only aid in crowding out the bad, but aid in my digestion, mental clarity & boost my metabolism

Because of digestive issues (yeast/bad bacteria overgrowth in my gut), I stick to a low carb lifestyle. The least amount of sugars entering your body, the better your belly will feel: little to no bloat! Whoohoo! 

Sugar feeds cancer & these yeasts/bad bacteria, so I eat as low carb as possible-which means I eat a lot of vegetables! They're low calorie AND low...

I felt compelled to greet you with the words I say when beginning my workouts on Aaptiv so you could FEEL my presence.

As many of you know, I am no longer with Aaptiv; and if you didn't know...well now you do.  My classes are still available in the app, but no new content is being released (You may have noticed). 

I want to say "Thank You" for your support today & always. 

When Aaptiv & I parted ways, there was actually a feeling of peace that came over me.  I knew that I had touched thousands of individuals' lives all because of being a part of Aaptiv. The app brought me to You....and You brought me to pursuing my passion. And for that, I am at peace.

I now have time to help women (and men) worldwide FEEL again.

5 Tips for a Do It Yourself Photo Shoot

1) Think of a how you want your program to look, how you want it to feel, and how you want your clients to feel as they go through your program.  
Ask yourself: How do I want my program to look?  What colors will represent the program best? How do I want the program to feel? happy, fun, light, simple, peaceful, powerful, empowering, soultry, masculine or feminine, etc. 

2) Create a board on Pinterest reflecting these ideas: look & feel. For an example, check out my latest board for my Girl Chew Your Food program.  I wanted it to be girly, flirty, fun, light, pink, feminine, and celebratory.

3) Go through your closet & rooms pulling clothes & items that are in the color scheme you chose for the program.  For example, as you can see in the Pinterest board I created for Girl, Chew Your Food, the color scheme is pink, whites, and gold. Girl, Chew Your Food!

I don’t have time to eat.
I never have time to eat breakfast/lunch.
I don’t eat breakfast.
I eat lunch at my desk.
I forget to eat.
Omg I like never eat a real meal-I’m lucky if I can scarf down a granola bar.
I eat all the things when I get home from work.
I’m so hungry!
Hangry. Yah I’m hangry!

I was sitting at my kitchen table brain dumping ideas to call my next program while...

Writing like a maniac all the thoughts.
Scrolling the gram for inspiration.
Shoveling food in my mouth as if it was my last meal.
I don’t even know if I was breathing.
Thoughts racing.
Passion igniting.
Firecrackers bursting in my head.

Then I stopped
Took a breath
And said, “Girl, chill. Chew your food.”

And that was it... !

Scariest Thing I've Ever Done!

What was the scariest thing you've done?
How did it make you feel?
Were you excited? or 'poop your pants' frightened?

In July of 2017, I decided to resign from a 9-5 sales job. Insert a "WTF" moment. It was by far the scariest, yet most exciting time of my life. I was actually listening to my freaking soul!
Honestly, I should have left that job years before but I was comfortable & content. I never had work to do outside of work. I grew a network of friends. Seems easy right? Well, since college, I've always had this "hustler" mentality; always loved making more money, "fun money". Why didn't I just get another full time job that paid more? Hm... that's a good question.
The reason: I didn't know what I wanted to do, so leaving the sales job to go train for another big corp position did not seem too appealing for me; especially when I was trying to run a side health coaching business as well.
